P is for Petrified

Ally lay on her bed with just a faint streak of moonlight from beyond the windows as her companion.

But not for long.

Slowly the sheets moved, just like the night before.

'It can't be happening again' she thought 'Oh God! Not again please'.

She clenched her fist, holding the rosary bead and closed her eyes tight.

But God wasn't around, only the presence that had been tormenting her every night for a year.

A tear escaped her eyes as she felt it over her body again, the incubus.

She couldn't breathe.

Petrified she wished for morning to come and resolved to leave town forever.

Maybe in the next town, sixth in a year, she wouldn't be followed by it.
